Welcome to our bikini experiment community! Motivation is a very large piece to the puzzle when it comes to success. When things go down you need that attitude and strength to rely upon. Who doesn’t want a high five after competing a tough workout? I love positive reinforcement. It pushes me farther and harder than I ever thought possible. Having a rough day? Some inspiration from those who understand can make all the difference.

As I have shared before, I met Scott (aka the boyfriend) because he was randomly assigned as my personal trainer at the gym. So you can imagine that he is a huge part of my support system when it comes to a healthy and active lifestyle. When there are days that I don’t feel like working out (they happen!) I’ll go because he is going. When I feel like I am not really making any physical progress he’s my cheerleader and will remind me of what I have accomplished.
However, I recognize that not everyone has that accountability in their lives. Maybe you’re adjusting to a healthy lifestyle and your family simply doesn’t get it. They support you of course, but don’t really understand why you can’t do x,y or z because you need to get to the gym that day. Maybe your girlfriends don’t get that you’d rather take a yoga class or go on a hike rather than sample cupcakes. In short, our goals and priorities often evolve as we do.
