Today I’m back with another round of things I’m loving lately since it is Friday. I also have some more posts in the works that will be on their way to you next week. As always, please feel free to share anything you may be loving as of late in the comments section below.
Greeting Cards – Speaking of holidays I was thinking this week about how much I love giving and receiving cards. Maybe it’s the kid in me that still gets excited about “real mail” but I really love seeing a bright colored envelope in my box. My grandmother always claimed that I used to turn it over immediately to see if any cash would fall out. However, if she always included cash who could really blame me in this scenario? I am not sure why she did not use the cash holding cards in stores, but I digress.
Organic Brown Rice – I had sort of allowed rice to fall out of my diet to make room for quinoa. With all it’s amazing benefits and protein I sort of felt the pressure to eat more quinoa vs. rice. Since they both yield so much it seemed a little like overkill to make a big batch of both to sit in the refrigerator. I always feel like I should love quinoa, but in all honesty I just do not. I will eat it of course, but I do not always love it. So rice is back and I have really been enjoying it with a lot of my dinners.
Track Workouts – With some warm weather I was able to snag a good day to do a workout outside and it was so nice. I really like doing workouts at the track which are a combination of running, speed drills and tempo work and I have missed them as part of my regular routine since it’s been so dreadfully cold.
Yoga Bag – I think yoga accessories are very personal. When I go to yoga I always like to take my own yoga mat with me because I prefer having my own materials and hope that this practice is saving me from germs at studios and gyms. I love this bag that I have from Gaim which I ordered on Amazon. It’s cotton and fully lined plus you don’t have to get the yoga mat in the smallest roll possible before putting it away. There’s also some handy pockets so you can do without a purse.
Haircuts – Sometimes there is just nothing better than having your hair done. I tend to put it off way longer that I should and then feel like I am in a scramble to get the next appointment possible. Yes, I did take this selfie before I left the spa because I knew my hair would simply never look as perfectly blown out again. Well, at least not until my next salon visit.
That’s all folks! Have a great weekend!
