Welcome to my 2014 Fit Girl Gift Guide! I followed healthy living blogs for a long time before I took the leap and launched my own. I always loved all of the gift guides that would pop up right before the holidays! It was helpful to learn about the items others used regularly. Plus it was fun to see what other “fit girls” were sharing as their wish list items. So that is what I am doing today!
2014 Fit Girl Gift Guide
Tori Burch Fitbit – This item is totally out of my price range, but that is the fun in a wish list right? It is a Fitbit tracker disguised as a lovely bracelet. It comes in either gold or silver and retails at $195. Pricey, but I love the elegance of this piece. It is completely unique because it resembles real jewelry. If it fits in your budget this would be a great gift.
Skull Candy Headphones – I am very simple when it comes to headphones. I like Skull Candy which are light, fit in my ears well and play with good sound quality. I know that the Dre Beats are supposed to be awesome, but I have tried them. I hear only good things though. No pun intended!
Weight Lifting Gloves – Weight Lifting Gloves really protect your hands especially if you lift weights or kettlebells. They come in a variety of colors and designs. Scott gave me a pair a few years ago, and I use them frequently.
Sports Sunglasses – For anyone who runs outside or does winter sports sunglasses are a must! I have these Ironman sunglasses in White.
Yoga Mat – I always prefer to bring my own yoga mat to class. Plus it comes in handy if you want to do some yoga or ab exercises at home and your floors are not carpeted. Gaiam makes some nice ones that are affordable.
Yoga Cover – My sister gave me a yoga mat cover for my birthday recently and I love it. It is really helpful in hot classes too.
Bic Bands – It can be really hard to find headbands that stay I place during a workout. Many of the ones that I have tried inch back bit by bit so that you look like you are wearing a tiara. It a very hard look to pull off. So I stick with my Bic Bands.
At Home Workout Gear
Kettlebell –A kettlebell is a great option to use for an at home workout. They require minimal space to store and you can get a good workout too. If you can only buy one, I would recommend a 12kg (25 pounds).
Jump Rope – A jump rope is another easy way to workout at home and jump your heart out! You can find them pretty much anywhere and they are inexpensive too.
TRX – A TRX is an awesome piece for inside your home or while traveling! It is compact and can be attached to a door easily. The set up is definitely minimal.
They can be a little pricey so I would recommend shopping around online. I got mine on Ebay a few years ago.
Under Amour Gloves – Under Amour has gloves that nice and thin which I really like. They are not super warm, however, I prefer them to be light because they are for driving. If you need extra heat you can slip in a hand warmer or two.
Nike Cold Weather Tights – Nike Pants do not dig into my sides and the styles designed for cold weather keep me just warm enough when I am going for a run or walk during the winter months.
Old Navy Warm Up Jackets – As I mentioned in Friday’s Favorite Things the other week I love the warm up jackets from Old Navy. They are totally affordable and last after multiple washes. Perfect for living room yoga too.
Hydroflask – Hydroflask is for cold beverages!
Contigo – Contigo for hot beverages!
Burt’s Bees Lip Balm – All girls need a lip balm on hand especially in the winter months. Burt’s Bees is inexpensive and you can find it at any drug store or food store. I always like to keep an extra one in my gym bag.
Honest Company Hand Sanitizer – Everyone wants to avoid getting sick this time of year. Gyms and public places are dangerous for germs. This organic hand sanitizer is a great on the go solution.
I hope the 2014 Fit Girl Gift Guide gave you some gift ideas for others and treats for yourself!
